Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence Developer

The Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible to develop, implement, and maintain the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence systems and programs that enables our Client to perform at the highest level.

He or she will work closely with Financial Business Analysts, Business Users, the Facilitate Product Team and Senior Leaders to solve complex business problems.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in developing and delivering data warehouse and information marts to help drive business insights.

He or she must have a deep passion for all things data related and an ability to implement creative and efficient solutions using the latest technologies and techniques.

Essential Functions:

This position is responsible for delivering the complete technology solution – which includes database, business/logic layer code, information marts and interactive reporting as well as the following functions:

Apply Agile Software Development Lifecycle methodology to develop the solutions

Ensure enterprise data warehouse solutions created under his/her responsibility adhere to departmental standards, appropriate controls and audit trails exist, and are thoroughly tested prior to installation in production environment

Identify and document data gaps between current and future business processes

Analyze and translate user requirements into technical design and development projects

Design, develop and maintain enterprise data warehouse and information marts

Assist Financial Business Analysts and other Engineers in identifying data fields and executing data conversion

Lead the project team and/or business users in execution of data validation and quality

Document issues as they surface and collaborate with project team and/or business users to resolve identified issues

Monitor and assist project team and/or business users in the execution of user acceptance testing

Provide on-going enterprise data warehouse technical support and training

Provide documentation, technical specifications and infrastructure requirements for each development
Project

Continuously monitor industry trends, standards and technologies. Research, recommend and apply new technologies as they emerge

Perform feasibility analysis considering technical, infrastructural, organizational and economic aspects to alternative solutions

Perform project management activities including task identification, effort and duration estimates, task dependencies and sequencing, critical path analysis, resource assignment and evaluation, conflict and
problem resolution

Design interactive reports and dashboards using visualizations that help users quickly identify expectations and/or processes requiring attention

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

Preferred Bachelor's Degree with 3 years+ relevant experience

2 years of accumulated professional experience in the following areas:

Business intelligence and data warehouse development technologies: SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server and TSQL Procedures

Database development experience: SQL Server

Dimensional data modeling design and implementation

Data warehouse monitoring, analysis and performance tuning

Ability and desire to learn the business process supported by IT

Customer service mindset

Strong interpersonal communication and training skillsets

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Project management and problem-solving skillsets

Ability to provide examples of work

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or Engineering

Experience working with visualization tools such as PowerBi or Tableau

Experience working with Machine Learning Tools

Experience working in an Agile environment

Experience working with Data Warehouse automation tools

Strong history of delivering value added solutions to business users

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services(SSRS)

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services(SSAS)
