ERP TECHNICAL ANALYST

Dallas, TX

What You'll Do:

Reviews, analyzes, and modifies the programming systems including coding, testing, and debugging to support Infor Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) manufacturing applications.

Ensures software can be completely integrated into the ERP system.

Translates business requirements into functional and technical solutions, processes and/or customizations.

Works with department leads in designing new processes to improve business efficiency.

Assists management with projects; identifying, estimating and tracking progress of deliverables.

Develops documentation including requirements, design specs and procedures, diagrams and work flowcharts.

May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the lead contributor/specialist in the implementation and ongoing support for the ERP system.

Confers with department leads (SMEs) to determine requirements, formulating and defining scope of system and operational objectives. Develops system solutions, procedures and programs that solve business problems.

Responsible for actively resolving day to day technology and application needs of the user community with a focus on root cause analysis and corrective action. Significant problem resolution skills and a customer-service aptitude is required.

Defines, develops and maintains use case scenarios and test scripts for user and system testing.
Coordinates and performs user and system testing as required to ensure repeatable processes with high quality results.

Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources; sets goals and objectives; organizes or schedules other people and their tasks; develops realistic action plans.

Assists in defining roll out, training preparation and execution, and user support plans.

Assists business users and IT leadership in optimizing the scope, benefits and risks of projects/tasks
assigned.

Helps manage expectations of users and management.

Advises on best practices and ways to streamline business operations and processes.

Prepares technical and user reports, program documentation, and training guides.

Typically works on large complex projects.

Skills/Experience You'll Need:

BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Business, equivalent professional education/experience.

Certifications in ERP software implementation, development, SQL, data analysis/design desirable.

5-7 years experience in ERP in one or more of the following areas; Manufacturing ( a definite plus),
Distribution, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Order Management, Payroll, Product Data Mgmt, EDI/Ecommerce.

Experience leading projects in an ERP Business Analyst / Techno-Functional role.

Experience in Infor Syteline and CloudSuite Industrial (CSI) 9.X

Demonstrates full knowledge of all phases of technology implementations and keeps IT and business
management aware of issues and potential problems.

Experienced in developing detailed business/functional requirements and test scenarios.

Working knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC).

Participates in system configuration to satisfy business requirements in accordance with solution design.

Ability to utilize software development and programming utilities, programming infrastructure software
and MS Office Suite including MS Visio.

Experience with reporting utilities, and ad-hoc query tools and data cubes (SQL Tables).

Flexibility to quickly learn, adapt and support new ERP systems including custom solutions.

Ability to collaborate with internal and external teams.

Ability to drive projects from beginning to end.

Strong data analysis and problem solving ability. Issues identification and resolution.

Excellent communication skills; verbal, written, presentation. Ability to present technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

Ability to understand and document business processes.

Detail oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills to meet critical deadlines.

Able to work without supervision.

Large project experience.
