Job Description

Responsibilities:

Design, develop and test, and support world-class distributed systems and tools to monitor globally distributed services.

Support operations and other teams in finding availability and performance issues in various services by building tools for them and helping to analyze a large amount of data to spot anomalies.

Work on systems with enormous transaction processing requirements and ensure all OLAs and SLAs are comfortably met.

Use industry best practices to deliver high quality solutions leveraging open source tools/toolkits and utilities with automated daily builds, tests, and deployment.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional organizations including system architects, project managers, product managers and operations.

Key skills:

Strong programming language experience in one of the following: Java, Golang, C/C , or Python

Experience with big data technologies (i.e. Kafka, Storm/Spark, Hadoop, Hive)

Proven experience with RDBMs, and/or NoSQL databases

Proven experience working in Linux environment, specifically with scripting

Strong grasp of client/server and distributed software architectures

Experience with basic networking and routing protocols (TCP/IP, UDP)

Preferred skills:

Mentor/team leadership experience

Experience with Spring Framework including Spring batch, Spring boot, Spring Data, etc.

Experience with UI development using Angular/React JS or similar frameworks

Agile methodologies

Ansible, Puppet

Docker

Openstack/AWS

DNS protocol experience

Machine learning
