    Executive Desktop/Server Support

    Our Client is a New York-based alternative investment management firm, which currently manages over $20 billion.

    They employ over 240 people and have additional offices in London, Singapore, Tokyo and Virginia.

    The Firm’s investment approach is fundamental and research-intensive.

    Importantly, we invest through a single, centrally managed investment team, which we believe allows the greatest flexibility to opportunistically and quickly deploy capital.


    As part of the Firm’s infrastructure team, this person is the primary individual providing desktop and network support for several partners including the Firm’s two Managing Members, both in the office and at their respective home offices.

    Responsibilities include daily monitoring and maintenance of all systems at several residential sites, troubleshooting mobile, desktop and laptop issues, preparation and support for international business trips, and design and deployment of various technology projects.

    This role requires a hands-on technologist with the ability to effectively resolve issues, provide daily support and research and stay abreast of new technologies.

    This individual must be highly organized with the ability to multi-task across simultaneous projects.

    This individual should be proactive and articulate in their communication while always maintaining the highest level of client service and professionalism with the partners and their family members.

    King Street has established a strong team environment and this person is expected to collaborate with Infrastructure Team members, the partners’ executive assistants, Family Office staff and staff employed at different residential properties.

    While most support is handled directly from the office, day trips to various personal properties is required from time-to-time.


    Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred

    5+ years of experience in computer technology or related field

    Strong communication skills written and verbal

    Experience with Apple products and best practices within the Apple ecosystem

    Experience with Windows 7/10 and Microsoft applications. Windows Server 2012/2016 knowledge a plus

    Knowledge of enterprise and residential phones systems is a plus

    Resourceful, critical thinker who is capable of finding innovative solutions to complex problems

    Strong interest in high end consumer electronics

    Experience with AV equipment for enterprise and home (Crestron, Zoom, IOT, home automation, etc)

    Collaborate with the corporate network administrators, and information security specialists to maintain multiple residential networks

    Must produce thorough documentation, keep accurate inventories, and manage asset lifecycles

    Highly organized with strong attention to detail and foresight to anticipate the clients’ needs

    Client service driven with a high level of energy; willingness to pitch in wherever needed

    Ability to address issues with empathy and effectively communicate complex topics to clients with varying degrees of technical knowledge

    Professional demeanor and ability to maintain composure in urgent situations

    Coordinate work with outside vendors and technicians

    Takes responsibility for all requests, escalating to other team members when necessary

    Willingness to participate in a high degree of on-call support
