Job Description

Responsibilities:

Design, implementation, testing and maintenance of full stack, multi-tier applications.

Provide architectural direction for complex data ingestion, backend and presentation applications.

Provide technical leadership to influence sound, data-driven technical decisions based on research and experimentation.

Instill best practices for software development and documentation to help deliver high quality software.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional organizations including system architects, project managers, software engineers, test automation engineers, product managers and operations.

Communicate complex technical topics effectively with both non-technical and technical audiences.

Qualifications:

10+ years of software development experience delivering progressively complex code.

7+ years of development experience with Java or similar programming languages. Experience using the
Spring/Spring Boot framework highly desired.

Excellent proficiency with Linux and/or Unix operating systems.

Experience building scalable, high performance, highly available, distributed systems, preferably using large-scale indexing technologies (such as ElasticSearch).

Experience with build, deployment and test automation tools and frameworks.

Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting ability.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent team player who enjoys a collaborative team environment.

Ability to self-direct work on a wide variety of tasks with changing priorities.
