Job Description

We are searching for an IT Project Manager – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting and loves providing hands-on technical support.

In this position, you'll coordinate all phases of the system optimization and upgrade projects and provide production services such as recommending improvements to strategy, system usage, or process through the application of business and technology skill sets.

You'll also review and analyze systems including testing and documenting for all applications.

You'll represent the business and operational interests and needs of a given project or specific component within a project.

This role will consult with stakeholders to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.

Additional responsibilities include workflow administration and data management.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Translate business needs into detailed requirement specifications

Solution owner will become SME in supporting the business by working with IT & business owners and dealing with vendor relations

Serve as hands-on technical/desktop support resource

Manage all aspects of IT Projects


Create reports

Create process documentation

Process design

Translate business problems, needs, or opportunities and design a virtualized IT solution that completely and correctly addresses the business problem, needs, or opportunity

Perform configuration analysis for system design

Identify and document data sources, recipients, and interfaces that need to be developed to support data collection

Analyze system problems and modifications

Recommend modifications to infrastructure design or current procedures to maximize advantages of existing resources

Maintain systems and releases

Research technology trends and directions

Research, analyze, evaluate, and makes recommendations on and advocates for the selection of vendors, products, tools, services, protocols, infrastructure components, and standards that will support the IT
strategies

Participate in overall departmental activities

Skills & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology required

Five years of hands-on IT support (Server/Network Administration and/or Desktop Support)

Experience managing complex IT Projects a plus

Familiarity with IT needs in a warehouse/distribution/plant environment a plus
