Job Description

New York City based Broker-Dealer, with a strong commitment to cutting edge technology, is seeking a SQL Developer to join their team.

Role & Responsibilities of SQL Developer:
•
Work closely with team members to gather requirements, create technical designs, and develop the technical solutions which suit the business needs

•Understanding functional and non-functional requirements and translating those requirements into
solution designs

•Adhering to IT standards and policies throughout design, development, testing, and all other activities

Qualifications of SQL Developer:

•3- 5 years' experience with full development lifecycle from inception through implementation

•3-5 years' of experience in Database design / development and support of MS SQL Server

•In-depth knowledge of Transact-SQL(DDL,DML,DCL) – design and normalization of database tables

•Candidate should possess extensive experience with tools like SQL Server management studio, SQL
Server integration service (SSIS) and SQL Server reporting service (SSRS)

•Proficient in Tuning T-SQL queries/indexes to improve database performance

•Proficient in SQL Server Performance tuning using tools like SQL Profiler, Index Tuning wizard and
Windows performance monitor

• Knowledge of Autosys

•Good knowledge of Normalization / De-Normalization, maintaining referential integrity using triggers/primary-foreign keys

•Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g. SCRUM, XP)

•Strong oral and written communications skills

•Strong trouble shooting skills

•Knowledge of C#, WPF, WCF, MVVM, SOA, .NET 4.5, VBA, Excel, Access is plus

•Good understanding of fixed income products.
