Job Description

The PM is responsible for a variety of functions including:

Managing company technology infrastructure.

Supporting, maintaining and enhancing existing business systems.

Delivering and deploying new systems, technologies and services.

The Delivery Services function – providing program and project management for Infrastructure-related initiatives – is part of the global organization responsible for design, delivery and operation of company infrastructure.

As an Infrastructure Project Manager, you will work with various technical team members with company infrastructure and applications teams, as well as personnel from Risk, Legal, Security, and other related functions, to deliver IT projects within the company.

Key requirements for the role include a successful track record of delivering infrastructure projects in a complex IT environment, with a globally distributed team, and managing multiple projects at different phases of execution.

As you're often working in complex technical discussions with senior application personnel and affiliated risk and infrastructure personnel (e.g., networks, security, etc.), strong communication and effective organizational skills are essential to build and maintain trust and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Plans and implement projects

Partners with stakeholders and sponsor to define project scope, goals and deliverables

Defines tasks and required resources

Creates schedule and project timeline

Manages project team execution

Manages budget

Tracks deliverables

Monitors and reports on project progress

Presents reports to stakeholders on progress as well as problems and solutions

Manages change process (e.g., change order scoping, review, approval from sponsor and oversight of execution)

Leads evaluation and assessment of project results.

Requirements

3 years + experience managing delivery of IT projects (infrastructure preferred, but applications-related are acceptable) required.

5-7 years + experience working in an IT related Service Industry with basic working knowledge of
infrastructure technologies such as, but not limited to, different Unix server platforms Wintel systems, relational database systems, networking protocols and topologies, and collaboration technologies strongly desired.

Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Business or related field strongly desired.

Experience in globally distributed IT organization strongly desired.

Financial Industry knowledge desired.

Project Management certifications are a plus.
