Job Description
IT Support Analyst/Engineer
We are working with a national retailer who currently has a contract to hire need for their largest distribution center located in the southwest burbs of Chicago (Naperville area).
This person will be responsible for IT support and customer service and be able to handle a fast paced environment, espeically during the peak holiday season approaching us.
This person will provide support from 1st level to 3rd level and be asked to work independently with minimal supervision. Someone who can be very flexible with shift work is a must.
This person will start on the 2nd shift (2 p.m. to 10 p.m.) and may need to work weekends and/or 1st shift.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support through phone, email, computer to identify and resolve customer tech issues in timely manner.
Support servers Windows 2003, 2008, 2012, Supports desktops for Windows 7 and 10
Analyze incoming user questions and information.
Construct remedies including workarounds, suggestions, alternative usage, fixes.
Manage difficult or emotional customer situations. Respond promptly to customer needs; solicit customer feedback to improve service.
Support WMS and ERP systems
Understanding of the proprietary software product and ability to troubleshoot or escalate appropriately.
Learn new software and assist with different projects, updates, initiatives for product solutions
Follow policies and procedures. Document routine reports
Qualifications:
3+ years in a IT Support role, preferrably in a warehouse or distribution center
Bachelors, Associates or relative technical field experience
Strong hands-on technical troubleshooting skills required.
Working knowledge of Windows Server 2003/2008/2012.
IT Certification in MCP or MCTS. and A+. Network+ is a plus
Strong working knowledge of Windows 7 Pro, Windows 8/10 desktop support and Windows Servers
Experience supporting network infrastructure, Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, configuring and maintaining anti-virus software, Windows Updates,
Ability to complete internal training program for product application, understand new systems
Experience with ticketing software and 24/7 environment. Familiarity with database software.
Excellent communication skills verbal and written, able to interact and speak to customers, team members, efficiently. Past paced environment.
