BI ANALYST

An established healthcare organization is actively searching for an experienced BI Analyst to join their growing Analytics team.

You will be part of a well-rounded team of BI Analysts, but your role will be dedicated to data platforms and working with large data sets.

The BI Analyst is responsible for creating, maintaining, analyzing and updating reports and data tables.
Excellent communication skills are required as you will be analyzing the information and informing business leaders of your findings to support and optimize future business decisions.

You will be integral in the process of bringing the data warehouse in-house into the organization and will be very hands-on during the data transition.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Extract, transform and analyze measures/ indicators from multiple sources to generate reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions

Work with business leaders and/or clients to understand analytic/reporting requests in order to determine end goals and constraints necessary to provide information or insight

Build models and analyze data to identify trends and patterns

Apply analytical methods to assess significance of results

Work with data to create advanced charts, tables, and graphs

Perform data scrubbing, trouble-shooting, quality checking and usability analysis to identify anomalies. Address prior to the delivery of analytic results

Collect and integrate data from multiple sources, of which some may be unstructured data outside of the enterprise data warehouse environment

Identify trends, anomalies, opportunities and presents analysis, in an effort to improve clinical quality, patient safety, medical costs and health outcomes

Identify opportunities related to cost, utilization and quality, and report finding to operational leaders and customers

Provide structured analyses of operations to help determine specific opportunities for clinical performance improvements

Partner with operational leaders, department directors and clients to share trends from data, prepare and present graphs and measurement tools, and report variances in data.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or Finance

3+ years of experience analyzing large data sets and data platforms

SQL experience required

1+ years of healthcare experience required

Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) tools

Ability to draw impactful insights to business problems from healthcare data

Knowledge of analytical software such as Python, R, or SAS

Experience with large data structures that can be both denormalized and structured.

Proven experience translating business questions into meaningful and impactful recommendations

Knowledge in data governance, data quality validation, and UAT exercises in a data warehouse environment

Assist in the interpretation and communication of data/analysis findings.
