ICS is looking for a Progress/OpenEdge Developer to join our growing Fortune 500, Financial Services client in Wilmington, DE!

This position will be working in our client's Mortgage group, adding new features to their Decisioning and Underwriting application.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Participate in design reviews and provide input to design; incorporate security requirements into design, comply with Project Life Cycle Methodology in all phases.

Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development, testing and incorporate Corporate
Architectural Standards into application.

Translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/enhance software application modules.

Facilitate resolution and communication of cross-application/organization architectural issues and decisions

Develop high quality code per technical specification.

Facilitate code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architecture.

Identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues, review and provide feedback to any required final user documentation.

Participate in end to end delivery of application code, Manage Build and Unit testing.

Necessary Skills:

This position requires 8+ years of experience with Development and implementation on applications using Progress 4GL and OpenEdge.

Working on Progress versions 9.1x, OpenEdge 10.x to 11.6 (CHUI) on Linux and Unix Operating systems.

Performing Progress/OpenEdge database administration and configuring application and web speed servers.

Resolving application performance issues using Progress tools including Debugger, Promon, and Profiler; scripting using UNIX and LINUX commands, in depth Knowledge of UNIX operating system

Past experience working in an enterprise company environment.

Experience with Application Development using object-oriented Lifecycle and Application Frameworks.

Strong technical, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills

Experience with system, application, and process documentation including tools such as MS-Visio, Office.

Experience with quality control and root-cause analysis.

Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills

Solid experience in design, coding, testing and debugging skills

Familiar with automation tools Autosys/ Control-M

Experience with SVN Source Code management techniques/ tools for software management, Knowledge SDLC tools (JIRA).

Demonstrated teamwork and ability to work with diverse, multi-location teams.

Ability to work effectively as a team member within a matrix environment

Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment and handle multiple issues at one time.
