EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Southfield, MI
6 - 12 Month Contract
ICS is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer for our Client’s new project in the Southfield, MI area!
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Design, develop, and implement embedded software systems using C language for use in automotive instrument display clusters
Negotiate specification, software deliverable schedules, and change requirements with customer
Provide initial approval of embedded software coding based on specifications and requirements
Develop and define embedded software test strategies and plans
Conduct peer review meetings
Investigate and follow up on major or non-routine customer field complaints
Recommend and implement resolutions
Oversee, assign, and review work of lower level colleagues
Coach and provide guidance, feedback, and on-the-job training
Results to be achieved: software released on-time with high quality
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:
Bachelor’s Degree in computer engineering or computer science field from an ABET accredited university.
Minimum of 5 years of experience dealing with embedded software development from requirements
through validation.
Proficient in C language programming
Familiarity with HMI modelling tools like Altia and EB guide
Familiarity with graphical design tools like Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and/or 30 tools
