Job Description

Our client, a leader in the mortgage industry, is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join their team in their Virginia Beach location!

The Cyber Security Analyst is tasked with day to day oversight and monitoring of the Company's information security and cyber security program.

The role will monitor and provide analysis on all information security related issues.

Maintain detailed records of incidents and develop procedures for incident response in regard to cybersecurity.

The role will provide support to the Governance, Risk, and Compliance Committee specific to the enterprise information security and cybersecurity risk profile of the company.

Position Accountabilities

Designs technical solutions for network boundary protection, endpoint security, access control, auditing, log management, and event management.

Assesses network and system vulnerability, application and software security.

Monitors network and database security.

Performs software security assurance.

Assesses security configuration and compliance management.

Performs incident handling, response and reporting.

Performs security impact assessments as part of change management.

May support cybersecurity engineering efforts.

Supports and provides guidance on courseware and training related to information technology and cybersecurity related issues in alignment with the company's learning and development function.

Supports ongoing awareness of industry best practices and regulatory requirements to advise of program, monitoring, and technology changes/needs.

Organizational Relationship

Internal – Extensive contact throughout the company in handling security alerts and incidents.

External –Extensive contact with regulators, law enforcement, and vendors.

Position Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in the financial services industry with a focus on information security and cybersecurity.

CISSP or CISSA designation required.

Knowledge & Skills

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables.

• Advanced written, oral, interpersonal skills with ability to analyze materials.

• Advanced PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
