Job Description

We are looking to hire a Senior System Administrator who is hard-working, dedicated, and eager to learn new technologies.

This hands-on and requires the individual to build working relationships across the office and share an enthusiasm for all things Technology.

This person will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and deploying the virtualized desktops/servers/applications in Citrix as well as actively resolving problems and issues with computer and server systems to mitigate work disruptions within the company.

This person will collaborate with cloud engineering teams to ensure smooth operation of the combined and overall infrastructure.

This person will need to work as part of a team, as well as collaborate with others, to design, deliver, and support complex and secure solutions that will serve the company users and its customers.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for implementing and maintaining information technology strategies, policies and procedures by identifying problems, anticipating organizational requirements, and evaluating organizational outcomes.

• Work in partnership with leadership, colleagues, and external consultants to lead and successfully complete projects.

• Monitor performance of active Citrix network sessions and administer the automation of registration to Citrix Cloud

• Server Administration including Active Directory and Group Policy

• Utilize Windows PowerShell scripting to optimize and automate system administrator tasks complimented by Unit Testing with Pester or equivalent

• Responsible for SCCM Task Sequence creation, application packages and troubleshooting, collection group creation as well as keeping all packages up to date

• Create, maintain and update documentation related to IT procedures and configurations

• Work along Security team to prioritize systems in need of security remediation

• Supporting the creation and updates of Standard Operating Procedures for patching, system encryption, and remediation to vulnerability assessments

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person and remotely

• Monitor performance and maintain systems according to established parameters/requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related degree

• 5+ years' experience performing system administration and Citrix administration

• Ability to script in PowerShell using Azure/Citrix modules

• Working knowledge of virtualization (Azure), Citrix, or equivalent

• Analytical capability: strong ability to analyze and evaluate data, formulate accurate conclusions and clearly recommend creative solutions

• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; strong ability to be an active listener; ability to present complex, technical ideas in a clear and concise manner to non-technical audiences

• Strong negotiation and influencing skills with ability to interact with all levels of management and employees

• Proactive and forward-thinking attitude and creative problem-solving ability

• Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
