Job Description
NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
A professional services organization is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to provide quality services to clients on a project basis and to assist in maintaining the internal IT infrastructure of the organization.
The Network Administrator must inspire confidence and be viewed by the client as an expert and must possess both depth and breadth in a wide range of technologies.
The Network Administrator should be able to provide a high level of customer satisfaction, proactive recommendations, and first-rate support. Excellent communication skills are required.
Responsibilities:
Provide network and consulting services to assigned clients. Review project scope and/or contract beforehand and demonstrate sound understanding of business requirements and solution.
Ensure that the company infrastructure is operating smoothly and that any modifications to the environment are executed with no unscheduled interruption of service to internal or external customers.
Complete client Account Review and meet at least monthly with management to discuss project and/or client status. Proactively recommend options to streamline customer operations.
Requirements:
B.S. Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
Certifications (CCNA; Microsoft Servers, Microsoft Exchange, SCCM; VMWare)
3+ years of Windows 2008-2016 Administration and Troubleshooting
o Active Directory Administration, Backup and Recovery
o Group Policy Design, Implementation and Troubleshooting
o Server O.S Installations, Upgrades, Migrations
o Security/Patch delivery with WSUS or Third Party Packages
o Experience with DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, NPS
3+ years of Microsoft Exchange 2007-2016
o Significant understanding of Exchange architecture and databases structures
o Ability to isolate complex Exchange issues
o Ability to provide perform complex database operations
o Proficiency with Exchange backup and recovery practices
2+ Network configuration and troubleshooting
o Cisco switches and routers
o Basic routing protocol knowledge
o VLAN configurations and troubleshooting
o Firewall installation, configuration and troubleshooting (Cisco ASA, SonicWALL, WatchGuard, FortiGate, PaloAlto)
o Wireless LAN configurations with single and controller based WAPs.
Infrastructure support experience within SMB market space
o Windows WIN7, WIN8.1, Windows Server 2003 -2016
o Citrix Presentation/XenApp Server experience (Installation, Migration and Troubleshooting)
o Virtualization technologies including Hyper-V, VMWare, and VDI
Must demonstrate excellent communications, presentation and people skills
Should possess strong documentation skills as well
