Job Description
SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
An established and growing national insurance group is actively seeking a Microsoft Systems Administrator to become part of their centralized IT team.
As the Systems Administrator, you will have the opportunity to significantly impact the company's IT operations by supporting all Windows servers across a WAN, administering an Office 365 environment and helping with Active Directory integrations from acquisitions.
Ideal canidates must have strong experience with Powershell and Distributed File System (Client).
You will maintain the network, monitor backups, file replication between sites and will work closely with the CIO in evaluating technology and provide level 3 support for the helpdesk when needed.
Candidates must be able to work in a team and be an individual contributor.
Responsibilities
Install, monitor & administrate Windows Server environment
Install, monitor & administrate Office 365 Environment
Migrate and maintain Active Directory environments
Maintain and monitor backups
Create and maintain network policies and procedures
Maintain and monitor file replication between sites
Provide level 3 helpdesk support when needed
Provide input and evaluate new technology
Requirements
5+ years' experience as a Microsoft Server Admin, enterprise-level experience is preferred
Must have an active MCSA minimum, MCSE 2012 certification preferred.
Be well versed in DNS
Be well versed in Client
High level of working knowledge with Virtualization (Hyper-V and VMWare preferred).
Must have:
Strong experience with Active Directory, PowerShell, Windows Server, Office 365 and WAN environments
Nice to have
: Microsoft Exchange, Azure, Client, Office 365 and AD migration and integration experience.
Be well organized and have attention to detail
Be logical in thinking and have exceptional problem-solving abilities
Be able to provide clear, detailed documentation
Form project plans
Work well in a team
Be able to travel when needed – less than 10%, local to Chicago and other offices in the US
Be on call and to respond to emergencies when needed
Have a reliable method of transportation
Associates degree required, bachelor's degree preferred
