Job Description - Software QA Manager

SOFTWARE QA MANAGER

Nashville, TN

Direct Hire Position

ICS is hiring a talented Software QA Manager for our Client in the Nashville, TN area! This position will serve a key role in the evaluation and testing of various SaaS-based applications.

The successful Software QA Manager is an excellent leader and communicator who will set the QA team up for success.

Our ideal candidate has an extensive knowledge of JIRA, experience in Agile scrum methodologies, and is able prioritize and communicate their expertise effectively to the team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Lead a team of QA professionals in both local and remote locations.

Implement mature QA processes to increase predictability and efficiency of the QA function.

Contribute to the implementation of Jira, making recommendations on screen design and workflows.

Produce weekly quality reports that show the state of a particular project/sprint from a quality perspective.

Collaborate with the development team leaders and business analysts in the design process to maximize testability of systems and applications.

Raise awareness of the importance of a proper QA process integral to efficient SDLC execution.

Review user requirement documents to ensure that requirements are testable.

Identify, document, and troubleshoot for root cause and potential impact.

Track and report on bugs/defects from identification to resolution.

Participate in testing when necessary.

Participate in as well as lead defect triage meetings (internal and client facing).

Prepares testing metrics utilizing JIRA reporting functions.

Support client resources in their UAT efforts.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:

Seasoned testing skills developed from experience with multiple software companies.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Heavy knowledge in JIRA and Agile scrum methodologies

Strong ability to prioritize

Demonstrated experience testing complex B2C and B2B SaaS applications.

Experience as an active participant in scrum ceremonies (grooming, planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).

An ability to mentor QA team members to develop comprehensive test cases based on loosely defined product requirements.

JIRA workflow, test development and execution skills.

Demonstrated knowledge in Section 508, usability, and application security testing.

Experience with two or more test case management systems (qTest, TestLink, etc.).

A love for the outdoors and outdoor activities.

Must be able to work in the company’s office in Nashville, TN

At times may require after hours work to accommodate clients in other time zones.

Knowledge of automated test frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver is a strong plus.

Salesforce knowledge is a plus.

Knowledge of state agency licensing and permitting process is a plus
