Quality Control Analyst

Summary:

As the Quality Control Analyst, of the Governance & Controls unit, the incumbent is responsible for the daily quality control functions within the FCC sub-unit team.

The Governance & Controls unit acts as a primary subject matter expert ( "SME ) concerning all FCC governance documentation including policies, procedures, and management information analytics and reporting used to support BSA/AML and OFAC/Sanctions compliance across the Bank.

Specifically, the Quality Control Analyst will other members of the standalone function to complete Quality Control Reviews ( "QCR ) of key FCC deliverables from other sub-units, including the Suspicious Activity Report ( "SAR ) Form created by the Financial Intelligence Unit ( "FIU ). Additionally, as needed, the incumbent will focus on other Governance & Controls unit projects and ensure its sub-units are operating efficiently and understand and comply with the Bank’s BSA/AML and OFAC/Sanctions Policy and related sub-unit procedures.

Essential Duties:

Conducting Quality Control reviews on SAR-related processes for accuracy and efficiency; performing root cause analyses and helping formulate recommendations for enhancement.

Maintaining a high degree of relevant knowledge with respect to BSA/AML laws and regulations, especially those related to SAR completion and filing requirements.

Assisting with other quality control reviews on FCC sub-unit processes, as directed by the VP, Head of Governance & Controls.

Assisting with training of FCC employees based on the results of the quality control review process.

Assisting with the development of a new employee onboarding and training program for the FIU.

Assisting with FCC governance documentation including policies, procedures, and management information analytics and reporting, as directed by the VP, Head of Governance & Controls.

Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of experience in banking compliance or internal audit, with a strong emphasis on
BSA/AML regulations and requirements preferred.

Minimum 1 year of experience in SAR preparation and filing preferred.

An undergraduate degree is required. A professional certification is a plus. CAMS certification is preferred but can be obtained at a later date (within 6 9 months of hire).
