ETL DEVELOPER II

Nashville, TN

6 Month Contract

ICS is hiring an experienced ETL Developer II for our Client in the Nashville, TN area!

This role is primarily responsible for the development functions for various data within the company.

Our idea candiate is a team leader with proficiency in SQL, data management, financial transactions, and pulling data who will be able to communicate these expertise effectively.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Create ETL’s (using SSIS packages) for data migration from source systems to data warehouse

Create, modify and test various complex SQL procedures and SQL queries to source and manipulate the data necessary to meet business requirements.

Reconcile data inconsistencies and ensure data integrity.

Develop SQL code to support database and Change Data Capture

Follow database development standards for Microsoft enterprise and application databases.

Assist in the roll-out of new SQL based applications, problem fixes, and enhancements of software.

Perform performance tuning of SQL to maximize query efficiency and performance.

Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.

Performance tune stored procedures and database triggers.

Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end

Expess the ability to build and execute awesome queries and procedures, some complex others basic and mundane but still important.

Utilize SSIS packages to transport the precious cargo from point A to point B.

Monitor work through a series of tests and validations and reach out to others to help make sure their work is top notch.

Provide constructive feedback to other team members in reviewing their outputs.

Consistently check creations to make sure that the birthed solution is growing up properly.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:

5 7 years’ experience as a SQL Developer within the MS SQL environment, experience with MSSQL 2016

Expert developing highly efficient SQL code, SSIS Packages, Stored Procedure, etc…

Experienced in the development of well documented, high quality code.

Expert in SQL support skills, proficient in all the facets of debugging, tuning, and optimizing SQL codes, able to code the algorithms with packages, procedure, functions via SQL.

Expert in performance tuning, query optimization, using performance monitor, explain plans etc.

Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Leadership skills and ability to work with peers on group projects.

In-depth understanding of software development/engineering methodology with strong analysis, design, problem solving and process management skills.

Understanding of Financial data through experience with Accounting principles and financial calculations as it relates to General Ledgers and Journal entries.

Must own the solutions created and be able to modify as needed to account for changes in the plans, data, or integrations.

Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues preferred.

Strong knowledge of how indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, patching preferred.

Working knowledge of middleware, network, and server and encryption preferred.

Working knowledge of table indexing and query strategies, database objects maintenance and performance issues is a plus

Ability to accurately document the logical and physical components of operational databases and their functionality during the course of your work

Knowledge on how statistics work, how indexes are stored, how they can be created and managed effectively
