Job Description

Summary

The Cyber Threat & Incident Response (CTIR) team provides a center of expertise for cyber threat detection, analysis and defense.

The global team uses a complex set of intelligence, technology, experience and relationships to identify, contain, eradicate and recover from a myriad of threats.

This team has members in Houston, New York, Sydney and Manila.


This key role demands a highly motivated individual with a strong base of architecture, engineering, integration and support experience in complex, enterprise environments.

Experience with scripting and development is desirable, and the ability to deliver within Agile methodologies such as Scrum is essential.

Core Responsibilities Work as a member of a global team to:

Deliver CTIR's road-mapped technology initiatives

Provide 24x7 platform and product support across the technology stack

Support internal CTIR functions with all technology, innovation and data requirements

Liaise with global operations teams, as appropriate, to deliver new technology and platform support

Maintain open-source and commercial product knowledge related to security and big data

Build and maintain expert knowledge of companys infrastructure, with a focus on streamlining technology delivery and support

Develop and maintain product and environmental technical documentation

Essential Characteristics

Proven written and verbal communication skills

At least 10 years of experience in a large enterprise or multinational

An adaptable character, capable of dealing effectively with colleagues and business users working in a constantly evolving environment

Creative and critical thinking ability, often in a high-stress environment.

Ability to work across several technical disciplines and on multiple concurrent projects

Ability to work as part of a seamless global team across multiple countries, cultures and time-zones

Solid knowledge of IT security principles

Key Skill Requirements

Engineering experience across multiple domains, with an expert understanding of operating systems, networking and security technologies

Solid understanding of logging, log analysis, correlation and enrichment techniques

Experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders from the inception of an idea through integration and support

In-depth knowledge of system integration, including the use cross-platform API's, scripting and development

Strong technical experience with networks and security technologies - anti-virus, intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls and proxies

Experience working with big data technologies, (e.g. Hadoop, Cloudera, Apache Spark)

Experience working under Agile methodologies like Scrum
