Job Description

Responsibilities

Partner with Lead and Sr UC engineers on the deployment of a new cloud based Unified Communications environment.

Assist with the deployment efforts and transformation from multiple on premise PBX environment; consisting of Avaya / Nortel, Cisco, Mitel switches.

Has experience with development languages, such as python, and can assist Sr and Lead UC engineers in the development of automation and integrations of UC systems into corporate applications.

Experience supporting Zoom Video Conferencing, Huddle Rooms or Polycom Video Endpoints.

Provides support and coordination required during the planning, design, engineering and servicing of unified communication systems.

Participates in the formulation of short and long-range telecommunications plans.

Responsible for Tier II troubleshooting and direct communication with end users on escalated issues.

Can perform VDN, Vectoring routing changes in a contact center environment. Cisco and/or Avaya preferred.

Metrics collection and reporting to management.

Performs software maintenance and upgrades affecting UC Systems.

Participates in the development of procedures; assists with larger projects as needed and has a proven ability to lead and take ownership of small to mid-size projects.

Monitor and work within a team environment to resolve system alarms and error reports.

Assist in developing and refreshing process documentation supporting the unified communications knowledge base.

Needs to possess an ability to "think outside the box” and have a strong willingness to learn new technologies.

Qualifications

Minimum 5-10 years equivalent work-related experience. Or Technical degree with 5 or less years including direct experience with SIP, Clients and/or development languages.

Working support knowledge of the SIP Protocol and Client configuration.

2-3 years of development / automation experience using Python a strong plus.

Experience with one or more of the following technologies, Cisco CUCM, Oracle Client's, Zoom, Jabber
Softphone Client, Cisco UCCE and/or Avaya experience is a strong plus.

Hands on experience supporting large executive Polycom Room Systems & Zoom Huddle Rooms.

Proven hands on deployment experience of a full UC product stack for a global corporation.

Experience with the NICE Engage call recording environment a plus.

Availability to work on a rotating on call basis, shared throughout the team
