ASSISTANT CONTROLLER
FULL-TIME POSITION
DALLAS, TEXAS
ICS is working with one of their growing clients in Dallas, TX to hire an Assistant Controller who will report directly to the CFO.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a small, entrepreneurial environment and take ownership of handling partnership accounting of funds and co-investment entities; as well as maintain management company records.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Perform all aspects of accounting operations for management company including GL management, accounts payable, and cash management.
Work with third party administrator to complete quarterly and annual financial reporting (including financials statements and related footnotes), partnership allocations, waterfall calculations, and investor reporting.
Work with administrator to prepare capital call notices and track receipt of call proceeds, as well as prepare distribution notices and subsequent payments.
Coordinate with administrator to provide information for audits and tax return preparation; work with audit/tax teams to complete reporting
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
4+ years of professional experience within Public Accounting
Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations
Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
Professional certification (CPA) is preferred
Private equity/Investment Firm or Energy industry background a plus
Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a small team environment
Ability to form strong relationships and communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.
