SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT

Dallas, TX

Direct Hire | Base + Bonus

ICS is hiring an experienced Tax Accountant for our Client in the Downtown Dallas area! The person in this role will assist with various federal/state tax compliance and provision projects within the Corporate Tax Department.

Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and provides a high level of knowledge in Tax and Accounting.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Perform tax compliance projects related to federal/state tax return preparation for both corporations and partnerships

Participate in state estimate, extension, and tax provision processes

Management of responses to IRS and state exam information requests and other correspondence

Conduct tax research and author related internal memorandums

Participate in various tax special projects (including, but not limited to, transfer pricing, tax credits, mergers and acquisitions, international tax issues)

Frequent contact with all levels of employees and management

Interact with outside business partners, vendors, consultants, and other office visitors.

Other projects and duties as assigned

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:

Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited four-year university

1 – 3 years of experience with a Big Four public Accounting firm

Active CPA certification

Experience in preparation of federal income tax returns

Experience handling complex and diverse tax issues

High proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Superior academic record with demonstrated quantitative, analytical, and mathematical skills

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team; flexibility and ability to work under pressure

Ability to adjust priorities in a rapidly changing environment

Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments, and to meet critical and established deadlines

Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously

Professional business image and superb command of the English language, both verbally and in writing (spelling, grammar, and punctuation)
