    IT Help Desk Technician

    The Help Desk Technician is responsible for providing support and technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software.

    Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solutions.

    Responsibilities
    :

    Provides phone support (technical and operational) for our end users, which includes on site as well as remote associates.

    Provides IT administrative services, including managing the Help Desk ticket system and related projects/tasks, and creating various supporting documentation.

    Communicating via the ticket system, emails, phones and meetings to assist users and relay project/task statuses.

    Work M-F 7am-4pm

    Manage 10-15 tickets daily for end-users

    Daily responsibilities include password resets, end-user onboarding, laptop configuration, hardware requests, and other functions.

    Required Skills:


    Required: Minimum of 3 years of experience with:

    MS Windows/O365 experience

    Server virtualization - Hyper-V (preferred) or VMWare

    Active Directory and preferred PowerShell scripting

    Strong communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills

    Requirements gathering and analytical skills

    Excellent Customer Service skills – Applicant with be working between users, management, IT personnel and external service providers (vendors, ISP's, etc.).

    Must be organized and reliable – Applicant will assist keeping trouble tickets, projects and documentation moving towards resolution and completion.

    Must be proficient in standard office software including Microsoft Office and Office 365.

    IT specific skills including desktop PC repair, server maintenance, enterprise systems management, virtualization, Active Directory, etc.) are preferred.

    Installs, supports and administers all company issued laptops (Dell)

    Provides remote support for customer infrastructure including the following:

    Desktops – Windows 10 and some Macs

    Servers - Windows 2016

    Active Directory/GPO

    Creating and troubleshooting basic user authentication and replication issues

    Mainstream desktop applications

    Basic network connectivity and Internet (DNS, DHCP)

    Wi-Fi troubleshooting

    Microsoft Hyper V (create/build/modify VMs)

    Backup management (Barracuda)

    Cloud Services (O365, Azure)

    Additional skills:

    Experience with windows patching
