IT Support – Part time to start

Oxnard, California

3 Month contract-to-hire

Our client is looking to hire an IT Support resource ASAP! This will start out as part time hours and most likely increase as they do want to convert this resource to FTE around the 3 month mark.

To start they would be looking at approximately 25 hours / week and ramp up later ( flexible for candidate )

Environment: Split between office space and warehouse with approximately under 60 employees (not all computer users)

Looking for a general IT Specialist – could be someone with IT Support, Help Desk, Desktop / Deskside support, or just a tech-passionate / customer service type looking for extra hours!

The IT Help Desk Technician will provide support to end users on a variety of IT issues. Identify, research, and resolve IT technical problems.

Provide help desk support in-person

minimal trouble tickets over the phone

Provide basic technical support to end users

Trouble shoot user account access issues

Complete special projects as assigned

Dependable, reliable and predictable attendance is a requirement

Act as IT SME onsite!

Positive personality, customer service skills, ability to communicate well with non-technical users

Knowledge of Microsoft OS including Windows XP and Windows 7

Knowledge of Microsoft tools including Office

Knowledge of PC hardware

Ability to prioritize assigned projects, help desk calls, and tickets

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move computer and A/V equipment

Ability to troubleshoot a variety of hardware and software issues

Experience with Active Directory a plus.

Printer support is also nice to have
