Job Description
ICS is looking for a Java/Spark Developer to join our growing Fintech client in Wilmington, DE.
You will be working with our client’s data team on applications supporting customer authorizations, credit bureaus, machine learning, etc.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Knowledge/Technical Skills
Strong experience in Big Data Hadoop stack Hive, Impala, Spark, Spark/SQL
Experience with MPP databases like Teradata or Oracle is preferred.
Experience in Big Data technologies like Pig, Kafka is preferred
Exposure to machine learning is preferred
Exposure to ETL tools ( ABINTIO, INFORMATICA, DataStage or Others) a plus.
Knowledge of industry leading Business Intelligence tools
Good communication skills and ability to interact with users, make presentations and guide conversations.
Experience with scheduling & data integration tools like Control-M and Ni-Fi is highly desired.
Strong exposure in Data Management, Governance and Controls functions
Knowledge in Unix is desired
Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner
Strong exposure in Data Management, Governance and Controls functions
Experience in data mining techniques and procedures and knowing when their use is appropriate
Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner
Experience with MPP databases like Greenplum, Teradata is preferred.
NICE TO HAVE:
Knowledge of statistics, at least to the degree necessary in order to communicate easily with statisticians is a plus
Ability to troubleshoot issues and develop functions in an MPP environment is a plus.
Experience utilizing and extending ETL solutions (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Pentaho, Ab Initio) in a complex, high-volume data environment is a plus
Experience with machine learning is preferred
Experience in data analysis, validation and reporting is a plus.
