Job Description

Data Analyst contract role with a fortune 500 company located in Miami, FL.

This person will partner with business areas to identify trends and opportunities to drive incremental profit through the delivery of actionable business intelligence.

Develop tools for streamlined analysis and create reports that succinctly summarize complex concepts.

Prepare analyses to measure the effectiveness of new products, trials, marketing initiatives etc.

Help generate, maintain and distribute both recurring and ad hoc reports.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in statistics, math, economics, or related field of study required.

Experience:

Five year work experience in the field of analytics.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong software skills a must, especially with query/reporting tools used for statistical analysis.

Knowledge of relational databases & SQL necessary to work with large data stores.

Familiarity with Hyperion (Reporting Studio), Tableau, & SQL Developer a plus.

Ability to distill large datasets into dashboards for easy understanding and consumption.

Strong analytical & problem solving skills.

Skilled in research, audit & problem solving.

Strong attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy in work product.

Superior written & oral communication skills. Effective communicator in framing and presenting a concept or hypotheses.

Self-motivated with ability to work independently.

Ability to learn and adapt to change.

Ability to recognize positive and negative trends affecting the business.

Genuine passion for Business Intelligence.
