IT PORTFOLIO PROGRAM MANAGER

Frisco, TX

3-6 Month Contract Position

ICS is hiring a qualified IT Portfolio Program Manager for our Client in the Frisco, TX area! This position plays a key role in connecting the business and technology sides of the organization.

The successful candidate will create and maintain the portfolio of programs and projects while providing support to the development process as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Work with Business Leaders, Product Owners, and customers to identify opportunities for business process improvements within project scope, by engaging with product stakeholders and user classes, document user characteristics, identify appropriate representatives for each user class, and negotiate their responsibilities

Create and maintain the enterprise project and program portfolio for the entire business

Meet with Stakeholders at a true portfolio level

Manage cost and budget

Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments (PI).

Facilitate the agile methodology and conducts Program Increment (PI) Planning.

Help manager risk and dependencies across internal and external programs and resources.

Report status and budget performance to senior management.

Oversee project portfolio governance and prioritization

Drive continuous improvement.

Facilitate the definition of program missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements

Express recommendations based on client desires, product architecture, cost, quality, and delivery timelines

Mentor, interact, and ensure cross-team and cross-department cooperation

Clearly present ideas and solutions to small or large audiences of customers and upper management

Develop and maintain an industry knowledge related to our Client's products/software

Provide mentoring, coaching and direction setting to team members.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE YOU'LL NEED:

Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred

5+ years' experience in Project and Portfolio Management

Experience setting up a PMO is highly preferred

3+ years of experience with cost management and budget management

3+ years of experience with project portfolio governance

Experience working directly with stakeholders at a portfolio level

Experience within the B2B software industry highly preferred

Experience with industry standard agile methodology management software preferred

PMP Certification (or a similar certification) highly preferred
