Job Description
Job Overview:
Designs and develops computer programs that automate specific business processes.
Ideal candidates will use existing knowledge and experience in conjecture with problem solving skills to create solutions meeting both internal and external business needs.
A day in the life of:
You will consult with business analysts to analyze and understand functions that are to be automated, client needs, objectives, desired features, and input and output requirements
You will write and maintains functional and technical specification.
You will convert design and specifications into computer code.
You will compile code into programs and correct errors detected in the compilation process.
You will create and test transactions and run test to find errors and confirms that the program meets specifications.
You will analyzes codes to find causes of errors and revises programs.
You will write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes and corrections.
You will provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with programs.
You will perform maintenance of existing custom software, including end-user support.
You will monitor performance of programs after implementation.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Has significant experience working with LAMP.
Has Python and Perl knowledge.
Has experience with MySQL, PHP.
Has experience with HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, AJAX, json.
Has experience using API's to perform actions on 3rd party services.
Has a Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related degree; or an associate's degree in computer science.
Has 5 years' experience working in a software development capacity.
Has the preferred experience of using Git version control software.
