Job Description

This is a highly visible front office production support role, requiring day-to-day operational support of Sales and Trading Middle Office and Operations staff.

A well-rounded candidate with strong technical and business experience will be most successful. Unix and Sql support with deep product knowledge in Derivatives, Futures and FX and Bonds are a big plus.

Position overview:

Production Support Providing Level 1 and Level 2 production support for Derivatives Sales and Trading Middle Office and Operations groups.

Attempt to solve as many issues as possible, escalate issues in a timely manner to application and / or infrastructure subject matter experts (internally or at vendors) when appropriate.

Manage communications to the trading staff and internal stakeholders regarding issue/resolution.

Supporting and monitoring of the firm’s internal systems Incident, Problem & Change management

Collaborate with other technical support engineers who may need assistance working on an issue; utilize his/her area of expertise to help others in order to most quickly facilitate solutions for the customer.

Assist with automating processes to achieve efficiency and streamlined trade support Partner with development managers, business analysts and infrastructure teams to prioritize product enhancements and coordinate and in implementing release management process, including release planning.

Core requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a great attitude, and operate with a mindset of OWNERSHIP, URGENCY, PARTNERSHIP, COMMUNICATION and SERVICE and:

5+ years’ experience in front office financial services application support

4+ years in an Level 2 production trading application support role (Connectivity, OMS, Execution Booking,
Position keeping, Risk platforms, etc.)

2+ years’ experience supporting Murex

Good knowledge of Fixed income Interest Rate Derivatives and financial markets in general Basic Linux,
SQL and any scripting language (Shell, Perl, Java, Python, etc.) Any enterprise scheduler experience (Control-M, Autosys, Tidal)

Working knowledge of underlying infrastructure and interoperability (servers, storage, network, middleware) Working knowledge of basic ITIL Service management practices (Event, Incident, Problem and Change management )
