Senior Azure Developer

Direct Hire Opportunity

St. Paul, MN

Position Overview:

Work with the larger BI team to define and deliver solutions.

Contribute strategic vision and integrate a broad range of ideas regarding business information definitions, processes, analytics and applications development

Understand complex technology, business processes and opportunities in the context of the technical and business requirements and recommend sustainable solutions to extend the capability of the system.

Provide technical leadership on complex projects; May be responsible for multiple phases of a project.

Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written.

Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.

Have full technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming.

May act as expert in business or functional area. Formulate/define system scope and objectives.

Experience in use of systems and reporting environments such as (but are not limited to): Azure/Cloud data processes and structures, Business Intelligence, Data Modeling, Business Reporting, Java, Python, Microsoft BI (Power BI, Analytics Services, SSRS/SSAS, Office, SharePoint), Snowflake, Data Warehousing.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Econometrics, or similar technical area

10 years of experience in business intelligence analysis, technical development, or similar positions

3 years of experience with programming in SQL

2 years of experience working with Microsoft business intelligence tools including: Azure, PowerBI, Azure
Analysis Services, Data Factory, pipelines, SSRS/SSAS, dashboards/visualization or similar

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience translating business requirements into reports, dashboards, BI query objects

Experience working with BI tool architectures, data analysis and data modeling, ETL tools

Experience with Azure: Data Factory, parallelism, USQL/NoSQL, Data Lake, HDI Insights, Client, Event Hub,
Web services, API/API management, Snowflake

Experience working with SQL/TSQL, SQL stored procedures, and relational/multidimensional databases,
PowerBI Pro, premium capacity nodes

Experience with Microsoft BI Stack: SQL Server 2014+, SSRS/IS/AS, SharePoint 2013+, Excel 2013+,
TFS/VSTS, UC4 (Atomic)
