Job Description

This person will join the team responsible for the design, delivery and operations of network and connectivity services within our client organization, a global media and entertainment brand.

The successful candidate has great collaboration skills in working with various systems, storage and development teams within the organization, and with their peers to deliver and maintain the network infrastructure.

They will need to develop clear documentation and procedures, understand basic principles of network design, implement new technologies, revamp legacy infrastructures, and sustain mission-critical network operations.

This position provides the opportunity to work on multi-vendor networks, next-generation computing and networking platforms, and industry-defining media transport and collaboration technologies.

Responsibilities:

Day-to-day operational support of network infrastructure and services

Troubleshoot technical issues with other technical staff and end-users

Processes tickets and requests for services

Support the teams dedicated to building and operating core network infrastructure

Develop and process technical documentation

Requirements:

Experience working in media production environments

Experience with JUNOS, Arista, Aruba OS, ACOS, Infoblox or PAN-OS, Cisco

Experience working in data centers (cooling, power and structured cabling)

Must understand basic troubleshooting techniques and be a logical problem solver

Must have good interpersonal skills and be motivated to help wherever needed

Ability to work well in a team environment

Must be available for any shift including evenings, holidays or weekends

Minimum of two years in the engineering or operations of network technologies

Lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of CWDM, DWDM and optical networking technologies

Experience working with load balancing platforms

Hands-on experience with security infrastructure and firewalls

AAA, RADIUS, DNS, NTP, monitoring, and logging

Ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Strong organization skills and professional demeanor.

Ability to work under pressure and manage difficult situations, high-touch customers, and mission critical deadlines
