Job Description

We are seeking a Manager of Business Analysis to join and help on a team of experienced developers (~10 people) working on the maintenance and calculation of ETFs and indices.

The team is responsible for receiving input data from clients, processing it according to individual client requirements, and publishing and reporting output.

The candidate should be able to work independently, handle multiple simultaneous tasks and be adept at prioritizing their work.

The candidate will be able to focus on the project priorities in order to deliver the required product at the scheduled time.

They should be comfortable collaborating with developers, product managers, quality assurance groups and client services to refine requirements and plan implementation strategies.

The candidate will be expected to become a subject matter expert on our platform.

The applicant will have experience in problem solving, planning, and estimating development efforts and have strong communication skills.

Most importantly they should demonstrate the ability to show initiative and be able to move projects forward to completion with minimal supervision.

The candidate will be expected to be involved in the full life cycle of the systems development from requirement gathering through development and testing to on-going support and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Creating, documenting, analyzing and testing requirements

As part of migrating legacy systems, perform analysis on differences on current production output to new system output

Using knowledge of business requirements to assisting in determining root cause of regression breaks

Aid with prioritization of new features and bug fixes for each release

Assist in the resolution of any production issues that may arise

Knowledge and Experience

Significant experience documenting large, complex software projects

Experience operating in an agile development environment including tools such as JIRA

Significant experience with use of Excel for moderately-complex financial calculations

Ability to summarize complex issues into straightforward explanations for Senior Leadership

Significant experience with financial data (Reference Data, Pricing, Market Data)

Experience with ETFs, indices, or fund accounting experience is a strong plus

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or Computer/Information Sciences or equivalent experience
