Junior System Administrator

General Purpose

This is a multi-role full time position in which the Junior System Administrator will work in a team environment overseeing the security measures to protect, control & monitor computer systems, networks and data.

Overseeing the administrative functions of a Windows Active Directory environment, and LAN / WAN network infrastructure, ensuring maximum availability of IT resources.

Responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, and supporting computer and server systems, Design and installs LANs, WANs, Internet and intranet systems, and network segments.

Overseeing the administrative, implementation and application functions of Jack Henry Online Banking Products and in-house hosted applications, including visiting customers to install Remote Deposit Equipment.

Work with the ITM maintaining the Cybersecurity, Vendor Management and Business Contingency Programs.

Main Function/Responsibilities

Day-to-day monitoring of all Bank's systems and programs

Initial troubleshooting of possible network connectivity or infrastructure related problems.

Production changes & turnovers across the infrastructure.

Training staff on network and information security procedures

Participate in audits related to security and compliance.

Relentlessly enforce the privacy and confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information in accordance with company policies.

Thoroughly document implementations, application and network changes, via technical documentation, run-books/SOPs, and audit deliverables documentation.

Creating, testing and implementing network disaster recovery plans

Performing risk assessments and Business Contingency testing

Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.

Maintain system efficiency.

Ensure design of system allows all components to work properly together.

Troubleshoot problems reported by users.

Maintain network and system security.

Analyze and isolate issues.

Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.

Evaluate and modify system's performance.

Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.

Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.

Design and deploy networks and Perform network address assignment.

Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration.

Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.

Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.

Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, Exchange server, antivirus, and intrusion
detection systems.

Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.

Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, antivirus, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.

Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.

Write training manuals and train computer users.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Responsibilities require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice.
physically able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds

travel to other branches to resolve on-site technical support

Other duties may be added and/or assigned as needed.

Education and Experience

A plus but not require, knowledge of IBM Iseries, and Jack Henry and Associates applications.

Bachelor's degree in IT related field of study, or 2 years of related work experience.

Hands on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server Administration (2012R2/2016),
Windows 10 Administration, Hyper-V Administration.

Experience configuring, troubleshooting, Cisco routers, and switches.

Experience configuring, supporting firewalls, and remote access (VPN).

Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.

Excellent technical knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows 7 and 10).

Excellent technical knowledge of supporting Microsoft Office 365 and Exchange online.

Microsoft Certificates: MCSA or Others
