Nationally recognized financial company is seeking a Splunk Engineer. This position will work closely with our business partners and technical leads to ensure solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements as well as meet the service level objectives for the documented/requested use cases. Proven expertise in the following areas is required: ” Develop custom splunk reports, alerts, and dashboards to deliver requirements ” Design new splunk solutions and use best splunk practices to deliver up to date application ” Building splunk add ons and field extractions ” Manage splunk index clusters or search head clusters ” Strong skills with a scripting language; Python preferred ” Comfortable working with Perl; ability to develop scripts in these languages to support Splunk deployments ” Ability to create technical documentation for new capabilities
