Our client is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team and help continue to research and build world class trading software.

You will be surrounded by people who are passionate about trading, quantitative finance and technology and working in a fast-paced environment where consistent communication and collaboration is required amongst the team members.

This Senior DevOps Engineer should feel comfortable leveraging a variety of tools and technologies to get the job done; whether it’s developing new features around our low-latency trading platforms in C++, working with hardware engineers to build custom gadgets, or collaborating on open-source projects that enable our trading.

Senior DevOps Engineers have the unique opportunity to impact our business on a global scale.

Responsibilities:

- Play a key role in the deployment and performance of our global trading systems

- Apply modern SW tools and DevOps practices to our cutting-edge R&D projects

- Architect and influence our ability to get innovations into market as fast as they are ready

- Work in a highly collaborative, cross functional environment, including interface with traders, Hardware teams, quantitative analysts, and technology researchers

The ideal candidate will have:

- Proven experience with several major system languages

- Proven experience with DevOps methods and tools

- The ability to think of solutions in the context of a complete system and you’re not afraid to challenge system-level designs to optimize the whole

- Proven record of delivering high-quality distributed projects in a Linux environment

- Experience delivering hot/warm/cold fail-over systems

- The ability to take initiative, own your work, and are persistent in following your products into production

- The ability develop manageable and maintainable software & build things you’re proud of

- Experience implementing engineering processes like CI/CD, TDD/BDD, etc. for fast-feedback and learning cycles

Comination of Experience:

- You have experience writing high-performance systems in Linux/C++.

- Hands on experience, either professional or personal, with modern C++ is a big plus

- Experience with low latency deployments is a huge plus!

- You have experience in quantitative software development, and are a mathematical thinker

- HPC/Big Data/Cloud experience

- You have experience integrating custom/specialized hardware

- You are passionate about technology, quantitative finance or trading and you bring that passion to the workplace

- You can cut a complex problem and abstract out simplicity

- You like to be challenged, and want to be surrounded by smart, passionate people who can bring out the best in you

- You are a contributor to different open source projects
