Project Manager- Infrastructure
This contractor role is for a Project Manager possessing extensive experience working with global support teams and vendors managing large IT Infrastructure and application migrations.
Familiarity with the ITIL framework, either PRINCE2 or PMP methodologies, Agile processes, and notable exposure to the concepts and requirements of Information Security are required.
The role is part of a team of Project Manager Analysts with tremendous exposure to all areas and levels of the organization both locally and globally.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with multiple teams to analyze, develop and action detailed plans for the migration of services to data centers.
Communicate weekly updates to leadership on status of planning and migration activities.
Manage the process and resources assigned to tasks required to complete the migration activities. This will include communication with service owners, development of detailed timelines, and implementation of the scheduled tasks, User Acceptance Testing, and signoff.
Manage available capacity to ensure no delays are realized due to lack resources.
Ensure all change management processes are followed as required.
The candidate must be comfortable managing 3rd party vendor delivery teams, and possess the ability to facilitate technical whiteboard sessions to troubleshoot project implementation issues, and remove barriers to project success
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree/experience, Master's degree or thinking level
Excellent project management skills; 5 years relevant experience in complex projects
Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex projects
Strong communication skills, demonstrated ability to create clear & concise documentation
Able to collaborate with diverse teams and staff of all levels
Highly evolved problem solving methodology
Candidates preferred with 5+ years business analysis related working experience
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Familiarity with ITIL standards and processes
Knowledge and preferably certification in either PRINCE2 or PMP
Proficient with the MS Office suite (Visio, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)®
