Credit Risk Analyst

Overview of the Role

The Credit Risk Analyst will be responsible for the Credit Risk assessment of existing and potential U.S. counterparties that transact across the Company's Open Trading platform.

You will assign and manage Credit Limits while maintaining sound judgment and controls in order to mitigate Counterparty Credit Settlement Risk.

You will be part of a broader Global Team, and will work directly with the Credit Risk staff and Global Head of Credit & Market Risk in New York.

Role and Responsibilities

Point Person / Sales Liaison for collating all relevant information needed for the on-boarding of new U.S. OT accounts.

Annual Credit Reviews of existing counterparties, taking into account the individual business model, financial profile and performance. Counterparties will include Banks; Investment Advisors; Broker-Dealers and Hedge Funds.

Writing Credit Memos for the Credit Committee for potential new counterparties: This involves analyzing financial results and interpreting relevant metrics, while also considering qualitative aspects to assess overall creditworthiness.



Working with a variety of teams within the business, including Sales; Legal & Compliance and Client Services in order to ensure the smooth running of the Credit Process.

Responding to and processing Credit Limit increase requests within a few minutes.

Daily monitoring of U.S. Credit Exposures; with the potential for daily reporting on this.

Ensuring that Credit Systems are up to date with correct and relevant information.

Required Skills and Experience

2-4 years of experience in a Credit Risk Analysis related role.

Bachelor's Degree; preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.

Highly numerical and analytical.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.



Ability to understand, monitor and react to intraday portfolio exposures as aggregated by company's internal risk systems.

Self-Starter: must be able to work well independently.

High degree of detail orientation.

Able to see situations holistically, while also being able to distil information into key components.

Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Balance Sheet Credit Analysis is main core responsibility
