.NET DEVELOPER
Arlington, VA
3 Month Contract to Hire
We are looking for a .Net Developer. You will create applications from scratch, configure existing systems and provide user support.
You will excel in this role if you are able to write functional code with a sharp eye for spotting defects, consider yourself to be a team player with excellent communication skills.
If you are passionate about the .NET framework and software design/architecture, this may be the role for you!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in requirements analysis
Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages
Test and deploy applications and systems
Revise, update, refactor and debug code
Improve existing software
Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Five plus years of experience in full .NET software development
especially in the areas of: Visual Studio, TFS, C#, WCF, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, jQuery, Angular JS, SOAP, and REST
Experience accessing databases via Entity Framework, ODP.NET, LINQ, etc.
Five plus years of experience with application design, implementation, maintenance, diagnosing/correcting issues, managing security vulnerabilities, and maintaining compliance with industry security standards under minimal direction
Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering or a related field
Exposure to SharePoint and related content management technologies
Understanding of Agile methodologies
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
Research and evaluate new software, frameworks, and techniques to provide recommendations to the division
Must possess a strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and initiative
Flexibility to balance multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently, yet function as an integral part of a team
US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) only
