Job Description
QA Analyst
6+ Month Contract
Richmond, VA
Responsibilities:
Documents all software discrepancies and works with other technical personnel on the resolution of those discrepancies.
Develops all test materials including developing, publishing, and implementing test plans, test cases and all required test data.
Uses Functional and Technical Design documentation to identify testing criteria
Conducts execution for application and joint testing, including all scripts for all applications, documenting all defects and re-testing.
Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
Works closely with the development team to ensure that all defects are brought to resolution prior to deployment.
Writes and maintains test automation.
Scope and Change Management - Assists in managing technical priorities and change management processes.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
3+ years of experience in systems analysis and QA testing
3+ years of experience working with testing methodologies
Experience leading different QA projects and the ability to coordinate cross functionally
Experience developing test plans and test case creation, and the defect reporting process
Must be able to understand requirements and coming up with testing scenarios
Experience in front end and back end testing
Hands on experience working with Oracle and/or other Relational Database(s)
Must be proficient & have hands on experience with SQL, PL/SQL
Must have some experience with and knowledge of Visual Basic 6.0, Perl Scripting, XML, HTML, Java, and Java Script
Must have a working knowledge of NT, UNIX, and/or Solaris environments.
Must have experience working with one or all of the following testing tools: Quality Center, Test Director, JIRA
Must have excellent verbal & written communication skills
