Job Description

We are currently seeking a Middleware Specialist who will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, administration, and support of WebSphere MQ Messaging Infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will also possess knowledge of, and be responsible for the day-to-day operation, administration, and support of Tradeweb SharePoint Infrastructure.

Desired education, skills and experience include:

4-year degree in one of following: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related IT/MIS field

3+ years of WebSphere MQ Administration, installation, configuration and support

2+ years of IBM Tivoli Monitoring for WebSphere MQ or similar MQ Monitoring Products

Basic scripting knowledge with Python, Windows PowerShell, etc.

Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and AD

Basic Administration knowledge of Windows 2012, Linux OS, Solaris a plus

Ability to troubleshoot MQ Issues from point-to-point, with understanding of MQ Client API’s, Networking Firewalls, Trace Routes, etc.

Ability to engage multiple parties such as Network, Applications, MQ Target Clearing Corps, etc. to troubleshoot MQ connectivity issues

Possess willingness and desire to learn SharePoint 2013 Administration, maintenance & support, including various 3rd party tools

Must be a self-starter with desire to learn new technologies and a willingness to self-engage in knowledge acquisition

Excellent communication and documentation skills

SharePoint 2013 Administration experience a plus

K2 Blackpearl BPM experience or other BPM a plus

Financial markets exposure



Responsibilities will include:

Planning, configuration and installation of WebSphere MQSeries for Microsoft Windows, Solaris & Linux.

Perform routine and in-depth MQSeries system administration functions, upgrades and patching.

Perform configuration, customizations, upgrades and general maintenance of the Tivoli Monitoring Infrastructure for MQSeries

Supports mission critical IBM WebSphere MQSeries and Tivoli production environments.

Work with application personnel, Systems Administrators, Network Engineers, and system/application vendors in the operation and support of MQSeries and SharePoint.

Perform routine and in-depth SharePoint administration functions, upgrades and patching, including 3rd party products.

Perform various customizations, such as SharePoint BPM, custom workflow and forms design utilizing K2 Blackpearl

Implement necessary change management, security and compliance mandates.

Implement necessary IT DR and business continuity plans.

Be part of on-call support team.
