SENIOR SOFTWARE QA ENGINEER
6+ MONTH CONTRACT; OPPORTUNITY TO EXTEND OR CONVERT

POSITION:
ICS is working with a client who utilizes technology to support companies within surety, commercial, and personal lines insurance business.
They are looking for a Software QA Analyst to join their fast-growing team!
The Senior Software QA Engineer will be responsible for delivering high quality automated test practices for any and all systems.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience testing cloud-hosted/customer-facing web applications in an Agile/Scrum environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with engineers to assure that testing requirements are clear and well documented prior to development.
Work with business and IT department to prioritize tasks.
Document all testing procedures.
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Client, isolate, and document development defects as well as participate in or lead Root Cause Analyses.
Document and disseminate test results.
Interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Communicate defects and verify solutions with the development team.
Complete testing in a timely manner by working closely with the release planning team.
Analyze results and improve future testing iterations.
Use testing tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing environment.
Proactively seek ways to apply technology to QA processes.
Communicate with technical and non-technical team members, engineers, managers, and customers.
Manage multiple deliverables independently in a fast-paced environment.
Work effectively in a diverse group to achieve results through team efforts.
Perform in a high pressure environment while rendering sound problem solving decisions.
Perform other projects as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years of both manual and automated Quality Assurance testing, preferably for web-based applications
Experience with Selenium or Cypress
Software QA experience within a .NET environment
Experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, and Automation testing of web and client-server applications.
Demonstrated knowledge of structured testing and thorough understanding of quality assurance testing applications and concepts.
Strong grounding in continuous integration and monitoring principles.
Proactively takes initiative and demonstrates a high level of accountability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated experience with:
Gathering and documenting technical requirements and specifications.
Multiple development methodologies including Scrum and/or Agile.
Continuous release projects and continuous integration tools.
Ability to read and understand software code
Experience in testing security for web applications and services.
Understanding of rapid development and continuous release methods.
Ability to follow and abide by all information and security policies and practices.
Passion for a technical understanding of complex systems.
