Job Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Network Administrator to join the mission in providing best-in-class security, infrastructure, and technology managed services in the Denver area.
The Senior Network Administrator will assist with our managed-services program in providing daily support of physical, virtual, and wireless networks in a Cross-Domain IT infrastructure.
Consulting on additional projects during surge periods as necessary, the Tier 3 Network Administrator is a key player on our team.
Job Duties:
- Working closely with end-users and third-party vendors to identify potential issues and fix existing physical, virtual, and wireless network problems at the Tier 3 level
- Maintaining and administering Juniper (80%) and Cisco (20%) computer networks
- Designing, deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise wireless (Aruba) and related technologies
- Developing documentation for existing networks and maintaining documentation for all new networks and changes
- Actively tracking, documenting, and updating request and incident information in appropriate IT Service Management tool
- Evolving and maintaining load balancing (F5), Firewall and Security products under the network umbrella
- Installing and configuring computer network equipment
- Maintaining network equipment and associated hardware, applications, services, and settings
- Administering routers, switches, and firewalls
- Troubleshooting fiber and wireless connections
- Analyzing and remediating IP addressing
- Some project engineering work may be required
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a hybrid network environment (juniper/Cisco)
- Strong Juniper networking skillset, proficient with Cisco
- Strong enterprise wireless experience; strong enterprise operations experience
- Strong knowledge of Switches, Routers and Firewalls (Palo Alto preferred)
- Previous experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2010, 2012 and 2016
- Experience with F5 Networks Big-IP implementation of LTM, APM, DNS (GTM), and ASM
- Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts
- Proven network engineering, network operations, and network performance analysis skills
- Expert level communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Hands-on troubleshooting capabilities
- Ability to work with little supervision to execute highly technical and complex tasks
- An active Secret Security Clearance is required for this role
- On-call rotation as required (one week every 4-5 weeks)
