POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY Assists the Corporate Controller in the direction of all activities related to the operations of the accounting group. Responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of financial data and for providing financial reports required by corporate management and other internal and external parties. This role is key to the month end close and monthly reporting process ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assists in the month end close process and preparation of financial reports. Assists in directing accounting activities and coordinates with other departments as required. Ensure appropriate schedules for the monthly, quarterly, and annual fiscal closings are established and maintained. Assists in the preparation, review and approval of journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations. Assists in the coordination of the periodic and annual audit reviews with the external auditors and lenders. Perform special assignments as required by the Corporate Controller or CFO. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent plus years' experience in Accounting CPA Ability to direct and supervise High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manipulate large amounts of data Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
