Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Our client is looking for an Engineering Systems Analyst who can mentor global teams, conduct analyses, evaluation, modification, configuration and testing of complex processes of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.

Incumbent will be able to lead end-to-end implementation of PDM (Product Data Management), DMS (Document Management System), and ECM (Engineering Change Management) processes.

Understand existing business processes, they will translate this knowledge into innovative IT solutions that align with overall IT strategies as well as meet the needs of the business.

This position will focus on support, improvement, innovative solutions to our business partners and troubleshooting of functional applications used by the specialized functional areas creating acceptable user experiences.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support production business processes within expert field to meet business process requirements.

Manage end to end implementation planning including project management, issue management, communications and change management meeting PMO standards.

Manage resource requirements, develop estimates and work plans and provide for deliverables, schedules, communications and quality of implementation projects.

Configure solutions for identified gaps in functionality and business process.

Participate in design reviews and business model matching sessions.

Resolve system issues resulting from user error, incomplete system setup or systems bugs
Gather and understand business requirements for support and work with the rest of IT to
ensure expectations are met or exceeded.

Maintain complex integrations between ERP and third party systems.

Manage and coordinate all development applications including requirements definition, vendor evaluation, strategic systems planning, processes re-engineering, design, and development, and documentation, production support of major manufacturing implementation
or new functionality.

Leverage business knowledge and expertise to deliver business process improvements.

Provide analysis and requirements to the Development area as it pertains to customization while following standard practices.

Manage user acceptance testing and approval of configuration and development with the business partners for signoff.

Develop user acceptance test scenarios, test scripts and results to validate configuration with the business.

Provide innovative solutions by staying abreast of current technology.

Follow established policies and procedures for system security and production operations.

Collaborate with other IT and functional area personnel on routine and major system upgrades activity.

Develop test plans and protocols for evaluation of system performance

Prepare user personnel training materials and assist users in the conversion and implementation of the system.

Lead IT projects and related team members (onshore and offshore mix) for small enhancements and upgrades/patches.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems (IT) or Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ CS) required.

3+ years of related experience:

3+ years of strong and broad business experience in their principal functional area of expertise;

3+ years of Engineering-related PLM/ERP transactional and/or configuration support.
System experience: SAP-PLM preferred; Siemens TeamCenter, PTC PDM_Link, and MatrixOne
Agile solutions acceptable.

Engineering software experience (as user or integrator): mCAD preferred (PTC Creo/ProE,
Dassault SolidWorks/CATIA, AutoCAD, NX); eCAD acceptable (PADS, Altium, Mentor Graphics);
CAM/CAE acceptable (CNC, moldflow, FEA).

Ability to transform and automate business needs and requirements into system solutions.

Capacity to work with business units in analyzing, identifying business processes and recommends new ideas and/or efficiency opportunities.

Experience supporting PLM, DMS, and ECM production issues.

Knowledge of PLM/ERP systems integration: Material Master, Bill of Material, Change
Management (ECM), and Document Management (DMS).

Ability to manage upgrades and assessments of PLM and CAD tools.

Strong troubleshooting skills with client-server architectures.

Proficient in configuration and customization techniques for WRICEF management.

CAD integration knowledge will be an added advantage.

Experience in working on Change Requests (CR) and helpdesk ticket resolution.

Proficiency writing functional specifications for the CRs and coordinating with the technical team, and user acceptance testing.

Capacity to work with multiple internal and external customer requirements from all business groups and determine appropriate solutions.

Communication skills (English written and verbal) required; foreign language(s) helpful.
