Software Engineering Manager
The Software Engineering Manager is responsible for managing a technical team of Software Engineers and Systems Developers in the design and development of new enterprise solutions and application enhancements.
Responsibilities
Leads the team in design, coding, review, and testing activities to accomplish the organization's goals and measures results.
Provides technical expertise to team members and encourages use of best practices.
Interfaces with stakeholder and technical leads from vendors and other IT teams.
Ensures applications deployed in production perform adequately; monitors performs and recommends corrective action as necessary.
Contributes to white papers and proposals for solutions to improve and consolidate systems.
Directly contributes code and other assets to development initiatives, in addition to managing team members doing the same.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and ten (10) years of experience
Hands on experience with .NET, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, SQL, Web and enterprise technologies using standard lifecycle methodologies
Strong experience with architecting, developing and deploying of enterprise-level web-based and client server applications, portals and collaboration sites
Subject matter expert across multiple technologies, architectures, and business applications with emphasis on web applications, portals and collaboration sites
Experience with Java or iOS development is desirable.
Minimal travel required
