Job Description

Network Administrator/Engineer

The Network Administrator will support the network infrastructure, internal and external communication systems and provide second level desktop/user support to helpdesk team.

The Network Administrator also monitor's network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
Perform modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination with business to ensure information technology resources are meeting business goals and objectives. Administer network security measures and disaster recovery.

Maintain computing environment by identifying network requirements; installing upgrades and monitoring network performance.

Support and ensure availability of vital corporate applications.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security, integrity and HIPAA compliance of all information systems.

Participate in a 24x7x365 call-level support team. Act as second level support for technical issues experienced by users and resolve problems escalated above 1st level helpdesk support.

All support procedures should be documented and cross-trained with other members of Information Systems team.

May guide or provide work direction or act as escalation to DS/helpdesk staff.

Hands-on Windows Administrator/Engineer, having direct experience with Microsoft Windows Server technologies including Microsoft Exchange 2013, MS SQL 2005/2008/2012 R2, IIS, RDS.

Hands-on VMware Associate/Professional having 1+ year administering vSphere 5.5 and Horizon Air or greater environment.

Experience managing windows licensing and Office365

Experience with Vcloud Air and AWS

Familiar with cisco ASA, VPN Tunnel, MPLS,

Configure and Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP and Active directory, Group Policy

• Performing software upgrades and patch-management.

• Rolling out new server/system builds in various production and non-production environments.

• Monitoring the system health and providing proactive problem resolution. Doing performance tuning, problem research/resolution, systems and update reviews and deployments, SQL support, and security risk assessments.

• Backups / Recovery and High Availability.

• Opening & following up on service support tickets with support tools as well as documenting common issues and resolution procedures.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL


Organized and detail oriented excellent oral and written communication skills.

Analytical troubleshooting skills with dedication to customer service.

Able to work with minimal supervision. Self-direction and time management is a must.

Proficient in automating IT administrative tasks with PowerShell/VBScript/etc.

Proficient in the following: Microsoft Active Directory, Server 2003-2012, Terminal Services/RDS, Exchange 2013, Cisco ASA.

Experience preferred in: VMware, VMware, Horizon Air, SANs and storage, optimized LANs and WANs, SharePoint, Office365, VMware and Cisco Routing/VPN technologies.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other 4 year degree focusing on information technology. Alternate 6 years work experience may be considered.

3 - 5 years' experience IT industry experience.

DNS, Windows server (2008, 2012, 2014), Active Directory (including Group Policy)

Cloud Computing, VMWare and AWS

Knowledge of Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) a plus

Voice/VoIP solutions including: PBX/ACD, IVR equipment and software, VoIP gateways, soft switches, SIP and call processing. Avaya knowledge a plus
