Job Description

Tax Manager

Dallas, TX

Responsibilities

Accurate preparation and reporting of corporate income tax provision on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis

Manage tax return compliance process, relationship with external tax partners and assist in tax audit projects, ad hoc projects

Research and consult on complex tax returns, demonstrate understanding of tax return processes and financial statements

Coordinate development of planning activities on engagements including time budgets

Thorough understanding of tax return compliance, tax analysis, schedules and related general business planning knowledge

Ability to plan, perform and deliver work independently

Maintain expert knowledge of tax regulations, identifying areas that require change and modification

Ensure that deliverables are clear, concise and within guidelines, implement processes that improve processes within tax department

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Master's preferred

CPA required

5-7 years accounting experience, including preparation of advanced financial statements

Preferably 1-2 public accounting experience

Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
