    IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

    Seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to join an established national distribution firm.

    The IT Support Technician will be the only local IT person for a 50-person office.

    You will be responsible for assisting users with day-to-day issues arising from everyday use of corporate technology (printer issues, password resets, phone support, etc.) and will also be working with the Corporate Help Desk team handling tickets for branches across the US.

    Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.

    Responsibilities

    Triage all incoming help desk calls and trouble tickets.

    Provide onsite and phone-based support for local, remote and traveling users.

    Analyze and support Microsoft Exchange including mail filters, virus definitions, database management, and archive/retention policies.

    Share responsibility for network security including password management, login activation/deactivation, and end-point protection.

    Configure and provide support for users in a Windows 7/10 & MS Office environment.

    Support both corporate and personal mobile devices (BYOD)

    Troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues.

    Maintain local asset tracking and IT inventory.

    Track tickets, tasks, & projects and reports status to Infrastructure Manager and the Team Lead

    User support can be performed either by remote access, phone, or on-site.

    Ensures user satisfaction by providing analysis, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and quick resolution to complex problems.

    Evaluates and resolves issues regarding IT operations, including administration, design, installation, configuration, error analysis, system status and downtime procedures, etc.

    Configures and manages helpdesk software and follows up with users to ensure that helpdesk service level agreements have been achieved resolving any lingering issues.

    Some travel (up to 10%) may be required.



    Requirements:

    Associates or College degree

    3+ years as an IT Support specialist

    Windows Server 2012/2016

    Active Directory Administration (including user/computer management, DNS, DHCP)

    TCP/IP

    Windows 7, 10

    Microsoft Exchange 2010

    MS Office 2010, 2013, 2016.

    PBX/VOIP phone system experience

    Mobile Device management (including mobile phones and tablets)

    Technical documentation

    Excellent communication skills are required.
