Job Description

FULL STACK DEVELOPER

Our client is a leading provider of data, analytics, and technology solutions to the global securities and investment management industries.

They are currently looking for several creative Full Stack Developers with a passion for developing high quality and user-friendly software.

As a Full Stack Developer in our Technology group, you will be developing rich and intuitive web applications that help investors make important investment and credit decisions with confidence.
Thecurrent tech stack includes AngularJS, NodeJS, Python, Docker, MS SQL, and Mongo.

Responsibilities:

Participate in defining, refining, and communicating software requirements.

Partner with Product Managers to ensure product requirements are met and that our firm continues to deliver value to customers.

Participate in all aspects of software development and provide expertise on both the front end and back end (60% of the development will relate to front-end user interface).

Estimate time frames for work completion.

Consistently deliver high-quality outcomes within well-understood time frames.

Work well with local and remote team members.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent concentration

2-7 years of professional experience using a JavaScript web GUI framework (AngularJS preferred), and one or more of the following languages: NodeJS (preferred), Python, Java, PHP, Perl

Fluency in SQL syntax (TSQL preferred) as it relates to data retrieval

Some familiarity with CSS or a CSS framework (Twitter bootstrap3 preferred)

Command-line expertise in Linux

Familiarity with build tools like Webpack (preferred), Parcel, or an equivalent

Fluency with GIT and experience using branched development workflow with a team

A comprehensive understanding of web-application infrastructure and performance considerations (CDNs, TCP networking, bundle size, etc.)
